The Weekly Word
World Cup watch party, a summer hike, a BBQ update, & prayers for Camp Elevate
Dear friends,
Join us for the World Cup semifinal tomorrow at 3 PM at The Monro Pub. Yes, we’re going to an English pub rather than an Argentinian one for two reasons: Church of England (duh) and, more importantly, though I love Messi with all of my De Hart, Argentina won it last time.
Don’t get in trouble with work, but if you can join us, it’ll be so fun.
A few more announcements for those who can’t attend the match:
As I mentioned last week, mark your calendar for our upstate Hike on Saturday, August 22. Details coming soon.
Our youth will soon join young people from Episcopal churches across the diocese for Camp Elevate (July 23–26) at Camp DeWolfe in Wading River (Long Island). Ms. Chelsy will be leading the camp, and Fr. Ben will serve as chaplain. Please pray that our kids have fun, build friendships, and grow in faith together.
Also, we’ve decided to wait until September to reschedule the BBQ. It’s just too hot and humid in the church courtyard right now!
Thank you,
Ben+
